About Caroline & Jo

Caroline Barrow

CranioSacral Therapist, MCSS (Member of the CranioSacral Society)
BSc Psychology, Biomedical Science

Caroline has been a practicing therapist for over 17 years. She initially trained in shiatsu from 1993 (a 3 year weekly training) and began adding CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation into her treatments since 2000. Passionate about the body, she is fascinated both by what 'science' has learned about its structure and function as well as by many of the other ideas interlinking the energetic and mind-body connections.

She splits her working time between doing treatments, running the College of Body Science, which teaches anatomy and physiology specifically for complementary health practitioners and running the Upledger Institute UK. This is the UK's sole provider of training in Upledger CranioSacral Therapy. You can find out more about that here: www.upledger.co.uk

She has two children, Max and Theo, and moved to Axbridge when they were small. A big part of reason for choosing Axbridge after living in London for many years, was the opportunity to work together with Jo!

Jo Harris - MCSP, HPC reg

Chartered Physiotherapist

Good body movement is central to health and well being. As a physiotherapist Jo helps you find the best ways to relieve problem symptoms and restore optimum mobility and fitness. Incorporating Visceral Manipulation and CranioSacral Therapy techniques adds an extra dimension that helps release patterns of strain that have contributed to or created symptoms.

Jo trained as a physio at Guy’s Hospital, London, graduating in 1988. She has worked with clients of all ages and in many different settings: the NHS, private practice and overseas. Jo is skilful in assessing the body and combining these approaches in treatments and has lived and worked in Axbridge for the last 16 years.
