Welcome to Axbridge Therapies!
Local physiotherapist Joanna (Jo) Harris works from Axbridge Studios to offer a range of hands on treatments using different techniques from Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral Therapy and Physiotherapy and occasionally from a few other modalities picked up along the way. She is always curious about new research and treatments; particularly in the world of fascia (the connective tissue of the body) and she incorporates this ongoing learning into her work.
Jo’s treatment approach focuses on the whole person rather than just one body part. This involves looking at the interaction of muscles, joints, bones, cartilage, ligaments, tendons, fascia, blood vessals, nerves and organs. Everything is linked. Problems or injuries can occur to any of these structures suddenly or over a period of time. Changes can cause pain, decreased mobility, weakness and a subsequent loss of normal movement.
Following a thorough assessment Jo can assist recovery with a tailored treatment that will include hands on therapy and advice with the aim of helping your body to become fitter, stronger, more flexible and balanced.
Good body movement is central to our health and well being. Using her skills as a physiotherapist Jo helps you find the best ways to relieve problem symptoms and restore optimum mobility and fitness.
